Virtual Boy
I plan on talking heaps about the Virtual Boy, here's a placeholder page for that. I was gonna play the library in order choronologically, this week Nintendo stated they'd release half now and the rest parcelled out over 2026, they also announced some unreleased titles - Zero Racers a F-Zero sequel and D-Hopper or Dragon Hopper a platformer. This is incredible!
I'm milling about wondering if it's worth sticking with the format, who said you're going to automatically have every game on time of release? But also, I could just play the games.

Galactic Pinball
July 21, 1995 | Intelligent SystemsPinball is one of the oldest tabletop game concepts, it's familiar and makes sense as a launch title to get audiences simply used to the 3D concepts. The 3D effect means the whole table is visible as the table is angled. No balls, only pucks which do feel floaty, I found it easy to get used to and felt the game actually makes stopping with your flippers accessible. Cosmic has a Metroid themed shooter stage, similar to Galaga. Colony has tower-defence style gameplay, as you progress through your game the enemies make progress towards the colony, and you have the chance to shoot down these threats, the enemies look convincingly like they're suspended above the board.
